Kuna Baseball Park Redevelopment Committee

We are a committee of parents trying to fix up our local city baseball fields. Anyone who currently have or had kids playing on these fields know the condition of these fields.

Our goal is to make these fields safe for the kids to play on, and safe for the audience while watching the games. Not only would the baseball fields be improved, but the entire facility at the Kuna City Baseball Fields park area would be improved! Improving the area around the fields would require a division and expansion of the existing facility.

The expansion part being an adjustment to the two current field locations. This adjustment would mean moving the two fields apart forty feet in opposite directions of each other. This would create an “Avenue” the width of eighty feet between the two fields. Also, moving the backstops from their current 25 feet to 75 feet from the street. No more kids running into the street, or broken windshields!

There will be “home” and “visitor” bleachers, a permanent concessions booth with adjoining maintenance shed and restrooms. No more running across the street in front of cars to use the bathroom across the street!

It will also include, score keeper’s booths behind each backstop, in-ground dugouts for the players, taller backstop fences, scoreboards, a planted infield of grass, and a flag pole for the great American pastime of baseball.

The Avenue will allow not only baseball fans, but the people of Kuna to be able to go from the Col. Bernard Fisher park to the Greenbelt next to Indian Creek. This would be a huge improvement for the entire area.

We would like to make these fields something that the Citizens of Kuna can be proud of!
